Faithfully Following God and His Leading
1976
Since our beginning, WorldServe Ministries has been dedicated to following God into mission fields others had forgotten, or didn't have the desire to go. WorldServe is committed to losing our identity while serving indigenous Churches and to putting resources into the hands of national workers — advancing the Gospel and impacting their nations.
The early days of the ministry saw WorldServe working with Dr. Kenneth Taylor and Living Bibles International, where we participated in the distribution of tens of thousands of Bibles into the hands of believers worldwide. This call to provide scriptures has led WorldServe into history making events.
While WorldServe Ministries is a small ministry organization, God has used us to leave a huge impact in the nations where we've been led to serve.
1991
With the fall of Communism, we were asked by General Stoylarov of the Soviet Red Army to provide a Bible to every member of the Army. WorldServe delivered more than 140,000 Bibles to impact Russia for Christ.
1999
After a papal visit to Cuba, Fidel Castro began to ease restrictions on the Church in Cuba. For the first time since the Cultural Revolution, the Church was given official permission to organize evangelical celebrations across the country. God provided us the opportunity to be the only western organization to participate in the funding of these celebrations. Through this partnership, WorldServe provided more than one million dollars for the celebrations and Bible distribution. The nation of Cuba was impacted for Christ and God began to open other doors of opportunity.
2007
WorldServe delivered 200,000 children's Bibles into Cuba. These Scriptures were desperately needed and have been an effective tool in ministering to the children of Cuba.
2007
The government of Vietnam granted formal legal recognition to Lien Huu Co Doc (The Christian Fellowhip Church of Vietnam). This is one of the few house church movements that have been granted such recognition. God led WorldServe to this Church movement when only a few house churches were present and has stood by the nationals as they faithfully advanced the Gospel. Today, there are more than 2,500 house churches and God has used them to mightily impact Vietnam for Christ!
WorldServe has been called by God to advance the Gospel in closed and hard-to-reach nations and to impact those nations for Christ. This is the essence of WorldServe. As a result of this calling, WorldServe has been a part of history-making events in each of the nations in which it works.
