Pray For Pastors In China

Sharing Words of Hope & Encouragement

In China, church pastors are still harassed, threatened and even arrested for their faith. Yet these brave souls continue to spread the hope and joy of God's Word — and the Gospel is sweeping the country. Please stand with us now and send words of encouragement to these pastors and tell them that you are praying for them. We will deliver your message of hope to pastors in China and help give them the strength to continue their ministry efforts.

  • I would like to praise our Lord, for He has graciously granted me the freedom to travel in and out of China. Thank you for your prayer! The relocation of our school to City X (withheld for security reasons) is completed, and all the necessity items have been met: such as facility for dormitory, classroom, and equipment, etc. Praise our God for sending capable teachers to teach in the area when we are needed. When I am writing this letter, a teacher is teaching "expository preaching" for our students. Another teacher will teach “discipleship” for us.

  • A once-a-week training in the area of pastoral ministry was provided via video conferencing. It is amazing to see how God's provision, even in technology, which we never could imagine this kind of equipment would be available to us. Now, seven locations in four cities, with a total of 20 full-time Christian workers are participating in this event. Another praise to our Lord!

  • WorldServe, in addition to support our financial need, they also help in providing guidance and godly counsel through their faithful servants. Here are some prayer requests:
    1. Pray that our graduates, now full-time Christian workers, are growing toward maturity in terms of their spiritual life (and for myself also), and their ministry skills.
    2. Pray that our regular program for evangelism, small group discipleship is going to be an effect one.
    3. Pray that the city of City Z (withheld for security reasons) would work out for His Glory.
    4. Pray that our training for church workers (from existing churches from the five nearby provinces) would join us when we resume next year (because we have skip once this year in October of 2011 due to security reason)
    5. Pray for our faculty members who are in the process of obtaining their visa for master level of study in Malaysia
